Sometimes I think you should be able to read my mind Then it would be possible for you to see the thoughts that I hide Do you really think that you’re free to choose? Walking away is the best you can do Though being with you never fails to raise a smile Neither one of us is willing to go that extra mile Do you really think that you’re free to choose? Walking away is all you can do And I never could understand Why there are things in life that are bad And there are things you have to do That you don’t like to do But if you look into my eyes You can see the spark inside I find I have to fight from watching the morning light And I see with someone different each and every night Do you really think that you’re free to choose? Walking away is the best you can do And I find myself asking the same old question Can anyone ever really know another person? Do you really think that you’re free to choose? Walking away is all you can do And I never could understand Why there are things in life that are bad And there are things you have to do That you don’t like to do But if you look into my eyes You can see the spark inside…Deep inside

Metal more attractive Making love to your memory Is just like walking on glass You run away from home But you know it will never last So many good times, So many bad times, You’re the pearl of great price Drowning in an ocean Composed of my sweat and lies Hidden rage, hidden rage and hidden secrets You kept it (them) all inside Hidden rage and hidden secrets It’s my life And if you need the space Then I’ll give you your space You know I’ll walk right the other way If there’s even the slightest chance, that we might meet face-to-face You’ve got to preach what you practice Because time flies, when you’re in love You have to work hard for it, And I’ll never be the employee of the month Hidden rage, hidden rage and hidden secrets You kept it (them) all inside Hidden rage and hidden secrets It’s my life Well it’s the least that you could do, For all that was done for you The frustration of your beautiful face, Gets me down And now I’m looking for, yes, I’m looking for, Some kind of valuable friend And another disquieting feeling, Slowly comes to its bitter end Hidden rage, hidden rage and hidden secrets You kept it (them) all inside Hidden rage and hidden secrets It’s my life This is my life This is my life

Nine o’clock on a Sunday night And I know I never say things right Dancing near you can almost be heaven I want to fall into the pit of your eyes And Andy says: “Let’s go out and have some fun” “We’ll drink, and we’ll sweat, and we’ll see everyone” “See everyone…be with everyone…meet everyone…see everyone” In the dark, old kitchen The faucet keeps track of my indecision The pit in my stomach is the pit of your eyes And the feeling makes me fall down And Andy says “Let’s go out and have some fun” “We’ll drink, and we’ll sweat, and we’ll see everyone” “See everyone…be with everyone…meet everyone…see everyone” You ask me what I want from you And I never know what to say But what I want if everything My heart has been grabbed and squeezed And Andy says “Let’s go out and have some fun” “We’ll drink, and we’ll sweat, and we’ll see everyone” “See everyone…be with everyone…meet everyone…see everyone”

All the bodies – there were twenty-seven In the crowd – surrounded by heaven In all our yesterdays (x2) Down to the bottom of the bottle Once step closer and I’ll rattle In all our yesterdays (x2) The dark and chaos was our banner Consequence – what did it matter? In all our yesterdays (x2) You were here – like all the others And you cursed me – like a Cain brother In all our yesterdays (x2) In all our yesterdays (x4) In the pit – where you were fallen There was no use – but I tried calling In all our yesterdays (x2) All the bodies – there were twenty-seven In the crowd – surrounded by heaven In all our yesterdays (x2) Down to the bottom of the bottle Once step closer and I’ll rattle In all our yesterdays (x2) The dark and chaos was our banner Consequence – what did it matter? You thought I would be angry I thought you would be frightened But I just came to, to say hello To give it meaning - You feared condemnation I thought concern and friendship were ideal If looks could kill I’d strangle you But you know that’s not, that’s not really what I want to do If looks could kill you’d run away from me Maybe it’s not, maybe it’s not that plain to see Way back in those days They told me misery loves company But then again - Who really needs guests? Sitting around listening to you, Well you didn’t say very much And even those days are long gone If looks could kill I’d strangle you But you know that’s not really, really what I want to do If looks could kill you’d run away from me Maybe it’s not that plain to see You thought that you had wronged me - communication confused Communication pushes you further in wrong directions You thought and I thought, but we didn’t say And that leaves us where we are today If looks could kill I’d strangle you But you know, know, know, that’s not what I want to do If looks could kill you’d run away from me Maybe it’s not that, maybe it’s not that plain to see Way back in those days Misery loves company But then again - who needs guests? Sitting around and listening to you You didn’t say very much And even those days are gone, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone… If looks could kill I’d, I’d strangle you If looks could kill I’d strangle you But you know that’s not really, really what I want to do If looks could kill I’d strangle you But that’s not what I want to do, That’s not, really what I want to do If looks could kill I’d strangle you But that’s not really what I want to do

How many lies must I – hold inside Within my aimless, beating – Svengali heart? I couldn’t tell you, I can’t – hate myself Anymore than I – already do Oh, golden girl Won’t you please save my soul? Golden girl – save my soul Golden girl And though I don’t know you – at all And I’ve only seen you maybe once – or twice I will use you in my – my mind and song So please don’t hate me - there’s enough who do Oh, golden girl Won’t you please save my soul? Golden girl – save my soul Golden girl Strawberry burlesque and – chocolate blood My heart is sealed and is – lost in love But were it not so I’d – I’d steal your heart And when you rob too many – you will be caught Oh, golden girl Won’t you please save my soul? Golden girl – save my soul Golden girl

Rain strikes the window and blurs the outside Each drop makes the tress bend a different way And as the wind howls again I long to hide From the cold chill that grips me inside Forcing words about another day and place The ground pulls me down to remind me again Oh, that I stood listening to the pounding of the rain And you placed all of your trust within my face But the clouds looked like a broken mirror And I don’t even know how you feel at all The rain stops for all of us, no matter what they say And I couldn’t help leaving you hoping for another place and day You may never know just how sorry I am Now that I’ve sewn the hole in my conscience Sometimes I wish I could have returned what you had given to me On rainy days your friendship letters only make it – worse I took you along and left you hoping It must have seemed like forever

You gonna look fine Be primed for dancing You're gonna trip and glide All on the trembling plane Your diamond hands Will be stacked with roses And wind and cars And people of the past I'll call you thing Just when the moon sings And place your face in stone Upon the hill of stars And gripped in the arms Of the changeless madman We'll dance our lives away In the Ballrooms of Mars You talk about day I'm talking 'bout night time When the monsters call out The names of men Bob Dylan knows And I bet Alan Freed did There are things in night That are better not to behold You dance With your lizard leather boots on And pull the strings That change the faces of men You diamond browed hag You're a glitter-gaunt gangster John Lennon knows your name And I've seen his

about

"Lost Tracks Found" is a collection of guitar & voice focused demo songs and instrumentals which were written and recorded between 1984-1996 by 391 & the Army of Astraea.

As a companion to "Stubborn God Productions: Working Backwards '84-'96" (a compilation of group and duet recordings), this album features solo multi-track recordings in the Post-Punk, Alternative Rock, Industrial-Rock, and Folk-Rock genres.

Please see individual tracks for extensive production notes and lyrics.

While the overall quality of all of the tracks have been processed to approximate album uniformity, due to the degraded nature of some of the original archival analogue recordings it is advisable to listen to this collection on a sound system with adequate frequency response at moderate volume or through high-fidelity headphones.
